Fort Belknap Giving Garden Project
The Giving Garden Project is an effort to bring our communities together through the planting, caring, and harvesting produce in each of our community gardens in Dodson, Hays, Lodge Pole & Fort Belknap Agency.
Planting supplies & seeds will be provided to lead community gardeners, who will donate a portion of their starter plants to the community gardens. Food grown in these community gardens will be harvested and distributed to families in need in each community on the Fort Belknap Indian reservation. Lead community gardeners will also get to keep the remaining starter plants for their own home gardens.
This is a collaborative effort in advancing food sovereignty on the Fort Belknap Indian reservation between NAEDC, Fort Belknap USDA Extension Program & lead community garden volunteers.
